The video ‚The Wandering Hole‘ is designed to be an introduction for my master project. The teaser gives an overview on the issue and the consequences of the brown coal mining hole Garzweiler II in Germany.

The Wanderatlas of the In–Between.
The Object ‚The Wandering Hole‘ shows the motion of the brown coal mining hole Garzweiler. Each layer represent one year of constant motion.
The mining hole ‚wanders‘ (RWE calls the motion of the hole wandering) by a half meter every day. The time period is around 90 years ( 1955 – 2045 ).
Nearly every month the Gallery ‚Galerie Freitag 18.30‘ invites and surprises the public with a new exhibition.

1min – Videos visualising the research on the consequences of ‚Garzweiler II‘ by typography. The series of videos focus on the direct and long-lasting changes concerning the close and distant landscape surrounding the brown coal mining hole.
Map points out many hidden cultural highlights within the district ‚Aachen Nord‘, Germany. The map was developed in collaboration with Nadya Bascha + Gallery Atelierhaus Aachen e.V..

The colour coding makes the use of the map ‚Erlebnisrouten‘ easier.
2014 the Gallery ‚Galerie Freitag 18.30‘ published two art catalogues. The first catalogue features artist Silke Schoener and the second combined artist Sascha Berretz and photographer Werner Blaser.
